It feels like too drastic a change to just leave unretconned. I mean Goku being turned into a kid is the event that sets off the entire plot of GT, yet it's never resolved. Feels unsatisfactory.

May I ask how you came to this conclusion? Far as I recall, Pilaf made a wish to make Goku a child again. And it was granted.
